lyrics

Blast off in 3, 2… A different creature with a different kind of pigment, retaliate before they even know what hit them. Fire up the press and let the lie perpetuate, tell the people run and hide, guess the truth’ll have to wait. A different language so they don’t exist the same, then. A different icon on the currency they’re making. They praise and worship to a god you don’t believe in, so you don’t have to see beyond the colors that they’re bleeding. • Aren’t we all aliens to somebody, and if we breathe, can’t we relate? Aren’t we all lovers to somebody? We feel the love that we create. Aren’t we all just aliens, a-aren’t we all just? • We look for love until we find heartbreak, then depend on healing touch to keep our broken minds straight. Yearning for years and months under our mother’s mantle; burning away infatuated — wicks on a candle. Satellites and foreign stars need gravity to start. Spread it in the art, it’s where the message starts, keep the zeitgeist ever flowing so the culture does in part. • Aren’t we all aliens to somebody, and if we breathe, can’t we relate? (Aren’t we all just the same?) Aren’t we all lovers to somebody? We feel the love that we create. (Aren’t we all just the same?) • So come on, it’s only a lightyear or a few. We all bleed the same blood, no skin is bulletproof. So come on, it’s only a lightyear or a few. The countdown; the takeoff. Blast off in 3, 2… • Aren’t we all just aliens, a-aren’t we all just? • I’m just an alien to somebody but if we breathe, we can relate. (Aren’t we all just the same?) Extraterrestrials and somebodies, We feel the love that we create.
